Online Complaint Form

The Office of the Press Ombudsman considers complaints about articles published by member publications of the Press Council of Ireland within the last three months.

Before completing this form please ensure:

  1. That you have made a complaint by writing to the editor and have given him/her two weeks to respond.
  2. That you are personally affected by the article.
  3. That the article provides evidence of a possible breach of the Press Council’s Code of Practice (available here).
  4. That you have a copy of the article and a copy of your exchange of correspondence with the editor.
  5. That the subject matter of the complaint is not the subject matter of court proceedings.

If your complaint is about an online article, you must submit either a link or a legible screenshot of the article. If your complaint is about a print article, a copy of the print article must be attached or submitted by post.







Before we can consider your complaint you must have made a complaint by writing to the editor. Please attach a copy of your full exchange of correspondence with the editor or post it to us separately.
